We founded Pepper Sq because we believe if you wait for change it won't come. Caring about the environment is at the centre of everything we do. We strive to support sustainable furniture and home decor manufacturers and create collections that people love! using recycled and organic materials.

Hug Rug Woven have been recycling plastic bottles for over 10 years and are delighted to be recycling so many more by bringing you this beautiful range of rugs, throws and cushions made 100% from recycled plastics salvaged from the ocean and from land – how clever is that?!
Some "harsh facts" from our friends at Hug Rug Woven definitely made us feel stronger about recycling:
• Bottles of water take 1000 years to biodegrade and if incinerated they produce toxic fumes.
• 75% of plastic bottles are not recycled just thrown away!
• Plastic pieces in the sea now outnumber sealife by 6:1.
• Bottles thrown away each year could circle the earth 4 times!

Why did you choose to call the products Hug Rug Woven?
L.M. "We've had a sustainable Hug Rug mat brand for over 12 years, which is all manufactured from recycled cotton and plastic bottles. The Hug Rug Woven brand came about when we found a yarn made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and decided to create a range of woven products that fit with the Hug Rug family. And unlike our other rugs, which are tufted, these products are woven from the recycled yarn."

What was your idea behind the product range?
L.M. "Sustainability, we wanted a range of products to keep inline with and expand our Hug Rug brand. People no longer want something that's using scarce resources and not environmentally friendly. Having found this wonderful recycled bottle yarn, we tested several different products and originally started with rugs and then expanded into throws and cushions to match, and eventually even dog beds."
What does sustainability mean to you?
L.M "As a British manufacturer we're constantly investing and developing products and processes to improve performance and lessen our environmental impact. Wherever possible we look to up-cycle materials to create our beautiful products. Sustainability is our future, and caring about the environment is at the centre of everything we do and we strive to make our mills and products as sustainable as possible"
What’s your favourite Hug Rug Woven product, pattern? And why?
L.M. "That's tough one! But I do love the herringbone throw in the new denim blue. They're super soft and cosy, and it's unbelievable to think they're made out of recycled plastic. And who doesn't love a zig zag?!"

The throws collection comes in various colours, that are cosy and soft to touch, they can be used as an outdoor throw and indoor too, as the fabric is reminiscent of wool, however is made of 100% recycled plastic.
You can’t go wrong with a classic – herringbone pattern, this lovely zig zag is perfect to add a dash of colour and softness to any space indoor or outdoor!

Cosy cushions
Cosy cushions collection consists of the 3 classic pattern lines: diamond, herringbone and trellis. The cushion filler is made from recycled content, making them super soft and bouncy!
For all you garden lovers out there you will love this simple trellis design. It is current, fresh and will stand the test of time. Great for indoor or outdoor use, easy care and will add a lovely touch of warmth to any setting.
Reversible rugs
Reversible rugs are available in 3 different sizes - 80 x 150, 120 x 170 and 160 x 230.
